The candidates who want to register at AS&RCs should carry the following documents along with them:
- Must have original Documents with two sets of attested photocopies of academic certificates/degrees/diplomas.
- Serving applicants should have NOC from the related department.
- Attested photocopy of domicile.
- Photocopies of computerized NIC(National Identity Card).
- 6 x colored photos properly attested (front & back).

Written / Intelligence / Personality Tests

Written tests Professionally held for GDMOs, GDDOs, PTC, and Specialists based on multiple-choice questions are conducted at AS&RCs.

Preliminary Medical Tests

Candidates go through initial medical tests at AS&RCs.

Further Selection

Selected candidates by AS&RCs will be called for interview by GHQ Selection Board at Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Karachi.

Selected candidates will be carried out at nearby CMHS for Medical examination. The final selection will be done at GHQ based on the candidates’ overall performance.

Training

Difference Between Short Service Commission and Regular Commission in Pak Army:

There is a quite clear difference between short and permanent service commissions. short service commission means that it is a Specialized Branch of the Armed forces.

The Pak Army Short Service Commission officers serve only for ten years and after that, they can leave if they want. If they want to stay, if the govt approves, their service will be extended for one year after the end of each year.

Secondly, They cannot go beyond the rank of Brigadier While Permanent Commission officers are to work till the end of their service as prescribed by the Rules.
